The Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) has announced plans to introduce a six-month certificate course aimed at preparing candidates for the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (UPSC CSE) and the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) recruitment exams. This initiative is part of UPRTOU’s efforts to make civil service exam preparation accessible to a wider group of students, especially those who may not be able to afford expensive coaching programs.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Satyakam confirmed that the university is currently updating its syllabus, with a focus on current affairs and topics relevant to the civil service examinations. Students enrolled in this program will benefit from updated study materials and a revised curriculum. Additionally, the course will cover key subjects like the history of Uttar Pradesh and its significant cities, including Prayagraj. The syllabus will combine 30% university-created content with 70% UGC-approved material.

The course will be offered as part of UPRTOU’s diverse range of academic programs, which include undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, diploma programs, vocational training, and research initiatives. By offering this civil service preparation course, UPRTOU aims to help students from various backgrounds enhance their prospects for success in competitive exams like the UPSC and UPPSC.

This move comes as UPRTOU continues to expand its educational offerings, ensuring that students receive comprehensive guidance to excel in these highly competitive exams, which serve as a gateway to government jobs in India.
