Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel and Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam underscored the critical role of youth in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.
Speaking as the Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the State-Level Youth Festival, organized by the Directorate of Skill Development and Industrial Training Haryana at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Sh. Vipul Goel stressed the importance of aligning youth skills and efforts with this national vision.
Youth Empowerment Initiatives
Sh. Goel highlighted Haryana’s contributions to youth development, mentioning Shri Vishwakarma Skill University as India’s first skill university. The state has received multiple accolades, including the prestigious “Champion of Champions” award, for its efforts in skill development.
He also proposed expanding the university’s scope if the villagers of Dudhola allocate an additional 20–25 acres of land. Additionally, he suggested introducing a course on ‘Banchari Ke Nagade’, a traditional musical instrument, to promote cultural heritage and create employment opportunities for the youth.
Role of Sports in Youth Development
Sh. Gaurav Gautam, Minister of Sports and Youth Empowerment, praised Indian youth for their achievements in various fields, including sports, which have elevated India’s global stature. He encouraged the younger generation to actively contribute to making India a leading nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

The three-day festival celebrated creativity, innovation, and cultural heritage through various competitions. The results of key events are as follows:

- Folk Song (Group): Fatehabad (1st), Sirsa (2nd), Yamunanagar (3rd)
- Folk Dance (Solo): Jind (1st), Rewari (2nd), Panipat (3rd)
- Folk Dance (Group): Rewari (1st), Sirsa (2nd), Kaithal (3rd)
Other categories like declamation, story writing, painting, photography, poetry writing, and innovation and science competitions also showcased exceptional talent from across Haryana.
